How to sign in

The Sign In page appears when you select the sign-in link or button from the application you want to access. MA Login authenticates you as a user of one or more applications.

Type your MA Login or email address in the MA Login or email address field.

Note: If you have a shared email address, you must use your MA Login to sign in.

Type your Password.

Tip: To display the characters you type, click the icon. Click the icon to mask the characters with asterisks.

Select Sign In.

Note: If you have recently been granted access to additional services, or if a service has been upgraded, you may be asked to provide additional information.

If this is the first time you have signed in from this device, you may be asked to confirm your identity by answering a security question or entering a code through multi-factor authentication.

  • If you are prompted to answer a security question:

    • Enter the answer to your security question.

    • If you are using a trusted computer, select the Skip this step when signing in because this device is personal or private) checkbox.

    • Select Next.

  • If multi-factor authentication is required, you are prompted to enter a code sent to your phone or email address:

    • Enter the code in the Verification code field.

    • Select Next.

    • Note: Confirmation codes do expire. To request another code select Resend access code.

Why am I asked for more information?

There are several scenarios in which you might be asked to provide more information. Examples include:

  • Share my MA Login– If this is the first time you have accessed this application using your MA Login, you may see a screen asking for your consent to share information from your MA Login profile with the organization providing the application.
  • Sign in: Verify your identity– Some service providers require a second factor of authentication to grant access to their applications.
  • Unrecognized device– The first time you sign in from a new device, you may be asked for verification.
